Should you be worried about Evernote's future?

Hi Reader –
Last month, Bending Spoons — the company that owns Evernote — acquired Vimeo for $1.38 billion in cash.
If you've been wondering about Evernote's long-term stability, this deal reveals something important.
When a company drops over a billion dollars in cash on an acquisition, that's not the behavior of a struggling business. That's a well-funded operation making strategic bets on tools they believe will be valuable for years to come.
For context: Bending Spoons recently achieved rare "unicorn" status with a valuation of over $2.5 billion. They're one of Europe's most valuable private tech companies.
For those of us with thousands of notes in Evernote, this matters.
Years of notes, projects, memories, and systems – they're not sitting in some app that's barely hanging on. They're part of a growing portfolio backed by a Milan-based company with both the resources and the long-term vision to keep developing it (all within strict GDPR requirements).
I've closely watched Evernote since its 2022 acquisition. What I've seen is over 200 new features shipped in the last two years, with even more exciting innovation just weeks away. (Expect massive AI innovation!)
That's not what happens when a company is being milked. That's what investment looks like.
The Vimeo deal confirms what I've been seeing over the years: Bending Spoons is playing the long game with productivity tools, and Evernote is central to that strategy.

As for me? I've got over 40,000 notes in Evernote, and I'm betting my business on it. Evernote is in stronger hands than it's been in years.
And, I’m excited to share what’s coming next with you soon.
