Hi Reader –

Evernote just dropped its second brand refresh in the company's 17-year history.

And buried in the brand announcement is something far more significant — the first public reveal of exactly what AI features are coming to your account.

Here's what you need to know.

Evernote’s Fresh New Look

Last week, they rolled out a new look for Mads (the elephant) and the logo mark. Here it is compared to its predecessors:

This is a visual evolution of how Evernote presents itself to the world. The rebrand includes a refreshed website, but not a complete redesign of the app interface. You may notice subtle UI refinements, but the app you know isn’t getting a dramatic visual overhaul.

Look for the new logo to appear everywhere. This is in preparation for v11 which is expected to start rolling out in a few weeks.

What’s most exciting, though, is the new AI landing page you’ll find on Evernote’s redesigned website…

What Really Matters: AI Features Revealed

Here’s what got my attention. For the first time, Evernote publicly detailed three AI features coming in v11. I’ve been playing with early beta access and can’t wait for you to experience them soon.

1. AI Assistant

A dedicated chat interface built in partnership with OpenAI that brings the power of advanced language models directly into Evernote.

You’ll be able to:

  • Generate new content and organize notes through conversation

  • Search and retrieve information from your account via chat

  • Pull in web research without leaving Evernote

  • Take action on tasks and add tags through simple requests

Think of it as having a knowledgeable assistant who knows your entire Evernote account and can help you work with it conversationally.

2. Semantic Search

This changes how you find information in Evernote. Instead of hunting for exact keywords or note titles, you’ll be able to describe what you’re looking for in natural language.

Forgot what you called that note about the plumber’s recommendations? Just describe it. Semantic search understands meaning, not just matching words, and surfaces the most relevant content.

3. AI Meeting Notes

Record conversations and get automatic transcripts plus intelligent summaries of key points.

Stay present in meetings knowing you’ll have reliable records of every detail — without frantically typing notes.

With an early version of this feature already available at this satellite site, users are going to love having it available inside Evernote.

Your Data Stays Private

Here's what’s important to understand about Evernote's AI approach: Your data will not be used to train AI models — not by Evernote, not by OpenAI, not by anyone.

Evernote built these features with a privacy-first design:

  • Privacy — Your account stays private and secure

  • Choice — Control which AI features are active

  • Protection — Your content is never used for training

  • Ownership — Both original and AI-generated content remain yours

You'll be able to enable or disable each feature individually, and change your settings anytime.

What This Means for You

For years, Evernote users have wondered what the future looked like under Bending Spoons' ownership. This brand announcement provides the clearest answer yet.

The company isn't just maintaining the app — they're actively investing in features that address how we actually work in 2025: conversational interfaces, intelligent search, and automated meeting documentation.

These tools have the power to materially change how efficiently you capture, organize, and retrieve information.

I'll be sharing more as soon as v11 arrives. And, as always, my Academy members are the first to get the full details, training, and practical use cases. (It’s a great time to join us inside the Academy!)

Which of these AI features are you most looking forward to?

Cheers to your productivity —

Stacey
