Evernote in the Wild Vlog: How I'm Using Evernote to Work from Anywhere

It is often difficult for me to explain why I am such an Evernote advocate. It isn't about a single killer feature with Evernote. My love of Evernote is rooted in the many little ways that Evernote supports my daily productivity. A key element is that I centralize my digital life in Evernote. I experience many benefits as a result of this, my favorite being that I can work from anywhere - something I do often. It doesn't matter if I'm at home, at the office office, at the coffee shop, on an airplane, or the passenger in a car. If I have my phone, or my computer, I can get things done.

Now, I’m putting my location independence to the test and I’m headed to work from a different country. On Friday, I start a month long adventure in Bali where I’ll work and reside. It is a big trip, with lots of moving parts and pieces, and much to coordinate. It’s a perfect opportunity to illustrate how Evernote supports me in being both productive and location independent. So, I’ve started a daily vlog over on YouTube called “Evernote in the Wild” where I show how I'm using Evernote for my trip planning and how it will support me working and living abroad for a month. I’m keeping each video short (between 2-4 minutes) and my goal is to show pull back the curtain and show you how I actually use Evernote on a daily basis.

I've included the first couple of videos here. Subscribe to my YouTube channel to keep up with my journey and get the nitty-gritty on how I use Evernote every single day. And, I hope that through my vlog, you’ll be able to apply some of my tricks to your Evernote productivity.

Having offline access to my #Evernote notes today helped me to share my upcoming Bali trip with my friends while wine tasting in the Texas Hill Country. I showed them pictures I have saved in Evernote and also logged ideas of things to pack that occurred to me while I was out and about.
